TREASURE ISLAND IN OUTER SPACE PART 3
Also Known As
L’ISOLA DEL TESORO
STAR LEGEND
Directed by Antonio Margheriti in 1987
Starring Itaco Nardulli, David Warbeck, Philippe Leroy, Anthony
Quinn, Ida Di Benedetto, Giovanni Lambardo Radice (AKA John
Morghen), Ernest Borgnine, Biagio Pelligra, Bobby Rhodes,
Sal Borgese and Al Yamanouchi
There’ll be no doubts in anybody’s mind what the
true intentions of the pirate crew are now! Mutiny and bloodshed!
That’s all this crew has on their minds. After setting
down on the destination planet where the treasure is supposed
to be buried the captain, the doctor, Jim, the doctor’s
friend and his robot servant all manage to escape the ship
with their lives! They hide out and try to find a way to survive
the attack of the greedy pirates who would rather see them
dead than try and make any sort of deal. During the course
of these events the ship is lost to the strange currents and
unpredictable tides of the planets shores! Desperate does
not even begin to describe what these men will become during
their fight to survive! This part of the story deviates away
from the family fun vibe that you have become used to up to
this point! Lots of desiccated corpses floating menacingly
on abandoned spaceships. Attacks by hoards of bloodsucking
leeches. The surprisingly nonchalant murder of a loyal crewman
who objects to the idea of mutiny is an unexpected example
of pirate cruelty. Also, there is a nice knife in the throat
bit. Nothing overly graphic or in your face, it would probably
still safely hold a PG rating I should think. Still, it’s
nice to see an attempt to add a little edge to things as called
for! More cool special effects and a lot of story surprises
as we come ever nearer to the climax! Though barely released
to video around the world in the first place, when finally
made available it was almost always the shortened version
that ran between two and a half and three hours. Treasure
Island In Outer Space was originally shown as a mini-series
on Italian television and ran much longer than that! When
enjoyed uncut the running time is nearly 7 hours! That’s
a mighty big difference and unedited is the way we offer it
to you! This is disc 3 of 4 and runs approximately 104 minutes.
Presented in English language with Japanese subtitles.

This is it! All that Jim has been through and endured was
leading up to this! The final moments of an epic odyssey,
a quest for the greatest treasure in the universe! Plenty
of action as things heat up between the heroes, the pirates,
and the people who might be either or. A satisfying and exciting
conclusion to an ambitious undertaking! Some highpoints include
Jim’s confrontation with Mr. Hands and all the adventures
through the Valley of Bones. As a matter of fact, those valley
scenes are a highlight of the entire series! There isn’t
too much more that can be said without giving away all the
best parts of this climactic volume. So, suffice it to say
that if you have enjoyed yourself up till now you’re
not likely to find yourself disappointed! Though barely released

ULTIMATUM
Also Known As
MARK IL POLIZIOTTO SPARA PER PRIMO
MARK THE NARC 2
THE HELL OF MAFIA
Directed by Stelvio Massi in 1975
Starring Franco Gasparri, Lee J. Cobb and Ely Galleani
Urgent Notice! Reading the following description
without having seen the original movie will result in some major
spoilers so proceed with caution! Mark Terzi returns!
And we Italian crime fans couldn’t be happier! This sequel
opens with a bride being shot through the chest as she exits
the church after her wedding ceremony. The murder is committed
by a deranged sniper/bomber who calls himself “The Sphinx”.
Terzi arrives to thwart some kidnappers and ends up rescuing
his old enemy Benzi (Cobb)! There are new criminals to contend
with as well, but it’s The Sphinx case that Terzi becomes
most concerned with because this madman is threatening to set
off a number of bombs placed around the city if Benzi doesn’t
commit suicide! Mark recognizes fairly quickly that there’s
a connection, but what could it be? It’s going to take
a lot of what our hero does best to find the answers! Gasparri
is once again the absolute definition of cool as the title character,
and Cobb is about twice the bastard he was in the original film!
There’s yet another great soundtrack, more beautiful women,
more drama, lots of violent action, and yes… Whiskey is
back! Extra points have to be awarded just for the car chase
that takes place near the start. What a rush! Ultimatum is an
excellent and worthwhile follow-up to an all time genre classic.
Enjoy it now in English language with Greek subtitles.
WARNING
Also Known As
L’AVVERTIMENTO
Directed by Damiano Damiani in 1980
Starring Giuliano Gemma, Martin Balsam and Laura Trotter
A police inspector is unwittingly drawn into a vortex of lies
and paranoia when he finds a deposit in his bank account for a
very large sum of money. He then receives an anonymous phone call
warning him to do things the right way when the investigation
begins. Before he can even figure out what it means, his friend
is murdered during a massacre inside headquarters! Since he is
soon made the man in charge it’s clear what was meant, but
that's only the tip of the iceberg. Now is the time to find the
truth, but how? Who can he trust? Where can he run? Is it worth
being an honest cop or is that just a romantic dream? Plenty will
go down as the mystery unfolds. The Warning is complex and exciting
featuring excellent performances within a story that will keep
you guessing until the end! The soundtrack is provided by Riz
Ortolani. Damiani would direct many features though he will be
best remembered for Amityville II: The Possession. This print
is both widescreen and uncut! In English language with Japanese
subtitles.
WEAPONS OF DEATH
Also Known As
NAPOLI SPARA
Directed by Mario Caiano in 1977
Starring Leonard Mann, Henry Silva, Massimo Vanni, Ida Galli (as
Evelyn Stewart) and Massimo Deda
Here comes one of the most sought after and highly regarded movies
in all of Italian crime cinema… Weapons of Death! Just about
everybody who manages to see it becomes a loyal fan and many feel
that it’s the summation of everything great about the genre!
Leonard Mann is a cop trying to do the best job he can in the
city of Naples, but it’s never easy, especially with high
profile criminals like Henry Silva around! Silva manages to anger
everybody from the local law enforcement all the way to his fellow
underworld crime kingpins. Driven by blinding greed Silva is only
getting started when he puts together a plan to rob a money train
in broad daylight while it’s still full of passengers! He
wants to go as far as he can and with as much as he can carry!
No life has enough value to slow him down! There is no remorse
in this seemingly soulless shell of a man who will destroy anyone
who attempts to deter him! Mann, as tough a customer as he always
was, is not about to just sit by and watch the criminals take
over the streets, not by a long shot. This has got to be the single
most violent Italian crime film of the seventies! Bloody shootings,
beatings, face smashing, burnings, castration, and a decapitation
are among the acts of malicious interpersonal destruction you’ll
find throughout! The best thing about all of this is that Weapons
of Death has the ability to back it up with something that matters!
Aside from the strength of the writing (not to mention the performances
- Mann shines as usual), the excellent cinematography and editing
come together with effortless fluidity to capture the cityscapes
of Napoli in all their beauty thanks to the talents of Pier Luigi
Santi and Vincenzo Tomassi respectively. A soundtrack that must
rank amongst the finest courtesy of the great Francesco De Masi
is a memorably affecting gift to all of us and the aforementioned
graphic goings-on are the handiwork of none other than Gino De
Rossi himself! A truly impressive movie that’s everything
you’ve heard it is and more. As rare and elusive as Mario
Caiano’s achievement has proven to be over the years, it
is with great pride and pleasure that we offer Weapons of Death
to you now fully uncut, presented in widescreen, and in English
language with Dutch subtitles.
WHITE APACHE
Also Known As
BIANCO APACHE
Directed by Bruno Mattei (As Vincent Dawn) in 1986
Starring Sebastian Harrison, Lola Forner, Charly Bravo, Luciano Pigozzi and Cinzia De Ponti
Just more of that Italian madness we all love! Shining Sky (Harrison,
son of Richard Harrison) was taken in by an Apache tribe as a baby
and raised as the son of a chief. Growing into a strong warrior,
he catches the eye of the most beautiful woman in the village, Rising
Sun (Forner, who has appeared in a couple of Jackie Chan movies,
no less). This attraction brings problems with his brother who also
had eyes for Rising Sun. After some pretty dramatic goings on, Shining
Sky is sent to live among the white man. His father tells him that
if/when he returns he will be the leader. As expected, the townsfolk
don’t care for him much and the feeling’s mutual since
all he ever hears the locals talk about is slaughtering Indians!
When Shining Sky finally makes his way back to his real home he
finds chaos as the sadistic Ryder and his men have come to kill
everybody! And so the real battle for honor and survival begins!
Not over the top sleazy per say, but there are a number of scenes
featuring children and old people being stabbed or shot down, torture,
raping young Indian girls in their church while surrounded by the
dead bodies of their families, bloody gun fight action, etc. A fairly
decent and entertaining movie that suffers from occasional bouts
of silliness but also brings plenty of action and a cool ending!
Enjoy White Apache in English language with Japanese subtitles.
THE WILD TEAM
Also Known As:
SQUADRA SELVAGGIA
THUNDER SQUAD
Directed by Umberto Lenzi in 1985
Starring Antonio Sabato, Ivan Rassimov, Werner Pochath and Sal Borgese
A vicious dictator has overthrown a president from a South American
country, but the people want their leader back and will fight hard
to regain lost freedom while making the exiled president a living
symbol of that freedom. Just as a huge corporation (losing money
because of the fighting) was about to intervene and finance the
retaking of the government, it is learned that the president’s
young child has been kidnapped in order to gain some leverage. The
company takes action and hires a team of specialists to go in and
save the boy so that they can return to the original plan and turn
a profit. For these seasoned professionals retrieving a kid is no
problem, however, when they are sold out in the interest of bigger
business then The Wild Team must do what they do best in order to
survive! This competent jungle/action/adventure from Lenzi features
a cool story with several twists, solid action, great cinematography
and a lively score from soundtrack master Stelvio Cipriani. Lots
of familiar names and faces within cast and crew (far too many to
list here) contribute to the overall entertainment value. You can
now enjoy The Wild Team uncut, letterboxed, and in English language
with Japanese subtitles.
WITCH STORY
Also Known As
STREGHE – SUPERSTITION 2
Directed by Alessandro Capone in 1989
Starring Ian Bannen, Michelle Vannucchi and Deanna Lund
Carol and her brother Ed are heading to a house they recently inherited
from their parents. It’s supposed to be a vacation, a chance
to relax and recover from losing their Father and Mother, so they
bring a bunch of friends along. It turns out that the house they
are staying in was once owned by a witch who was tortured and burned
at the stake a long time ago. The young daughter of the witch committed
suicide shortly after that incident. Many of the women are soon
possessed by an evil force causing them to sexually torment and
then butcher the males one by one. There is only one hope, an aging
priest who knew the witch before she was evil. Blood splatters often
thanks to the creative use of an axe, a meat cleaver, a nasty piece
of farm equipment, and a chainsaw! This letterboxed print is uncut
and is in English language with Japanese subtitles.
WITHOUT APPARENT MOTIVE
Also Known As
SANS MOBILE APPARENT
SENZA MOVENTE
Directed by Philippe Labro in 1971
Starring Jean-Louis Trintignant, Dominique Sanda, Carla Gravina, Stephane Audran and Laura Antonelli
Trintignant is fantastic in this mesmerizing mystery-thriller from
director Labro. Murders are being committed in Nice and they are
taking place in broad daylight. These very public killings seem
to have no connection, but Inspector Carella (who suffers none-to-subtly
from obsessive compulsive disorder) feels there must be a link somewhere.
Indeed, there is. A dark secret all the victims share in their past,
but what could this terrible truth be? And can the police find the
answers before more lives are lost? There is so much more to this
story but we feel it’d be just about criminal to take any
more of the edge off of this brilliantly engaging French-Italian
nail-biter! No praises we could sing would do this one sufficient
justice so see it for yourself and find out what we’re on
about! Ennio Morricone compliments the proceedings with a score
that is every bit as impressive as the film. We are very proud to
bring you the magnificent, rare, and very highly recommended Without
Apparent Motive uncut, widescreen, and in English language with
Greek subtitles.
WITHOUT WARNING
Also Known As
IT CAME WITHOUT WARNING
Directed by Greydon Clark in 1980
Starring Jack Palance, Martin Landau, Cameron Mitchell, Tarah Nutter
and Kevin Peter Hall
High caliber acting talent abounds in this gory sci-fi horror classic
that tells the tale of what happens when an alien trophy hunter
arrives on Earth to stalk humans as prey! It falls to a young couple
whose friends were murdered to convince the people of a nearby small
town that an intergalactic danger is threatening them all! As it
turns out, there are two men who believe the story. One is a veteran
who is convinced the aliens were always nearby waiting for their
chance to strike and the other is himself a proud and vengeful hunter
who has had a run in with this extraterrestrial being and its vicious
flesh tearing parasites before! This is an excellent film with fantastic
cinematography, special F/X and atmosphere. Now you can see it fully
uncut! English language with Japanese subtitles.
YOU'LL DIE AT MIDNIGHT
Also Known As
Morirai A Mezzanotte
Midnight Horror
Midnight Killer
Directed by Lamberto Bava in 1986
Starring Valeria D'Obici, Leonardo Treviglio, Paolo Malco, Lara
Wendel, Lea Martino and Eliana Miglio
Lamberto Bava turns in one of his best gialli efforts with this
late entry in the genre. When detective Nicola gets blamed for the
murder of his wife, red herrings pop up all over the place and the
body count starts to rise. Inspector Piero is on the case and soon
begins to realize that all the murders are slowly leading to his
own family! giallo fans will rejoice at several prior classic references
to The Bird With The Crystal Plumage, Tenebre (Lara Wendel was one
of the youngest victims in Tenebre and stars here as well) and many
others! With a soundtrack by Goblin front-man Claudio Simonetti
and an excellent screenplay by Dardano Sacchetti (Demons, Ratman,
The Church, Raiders Of The Magic Ivory and many more), how could
a fan lose! This is one gialli that seems to somehow have been forgotten,
but we can't imagine why! Brutal murders, sexy women, tons of atmosphere
and what an ending! Very underrated and now available to you uncut,
widescreen and in English with Japanese subtitles.
