RITUALS
Also Known As
THE CREEPER
Directed by Peter Carter in 1977
Starring Hal Holbrook, Lawrence Dane, Robin Gammell, Ken James
and Gary Reineke
UNCUT!!! One of the most sought after and requested genre
movies from the 70's now finally complete for fans everywhere!
A great cast, excellent writing, wonderfully drawn characters,
incredible direction and frightening atmosphere are even better
than before with tons of extra footage! More gore! More plot!
More violence! It's all here for your personal enjoyment!
For those that have never seen this or have been stuck with
the very truncated version, Rituals is about a group of five
doctors who take a camping trip into the deep woods only to
be hunted by a madman. Sounds simple enough, but what plays
out is a very in-depth tale of retribution, revenge and interpersonal
insight. These five men turn on each other, stop trusting
their longtime friends and look into themselves during a serious
crisis as one by one they are picked off and tormented by
a maniac and the elements of their surroundings! Forget Deliverance
(sited as one of the best of the backwoods and hillbilly cinematic
terrors), Rituals beats that one on every level! Cinematically
and horrifyingly in your face, Rituals boasts verite style
camera work and outstanding performances that make this stand
out as one of the most underrated classics of its time. Now
you can enjoy Rituals UNCUT in English language with no subtitles.
ROBOWAR
Directed by Bruno Mattei in 1988
Starring Reb Brown, Catherine Hickland, Massimo Vanni (credited
as Alex McBride)
and Romano Puppo
Absolutely crazed science fiction action adventure insanity
that is essentially Bruno Mattei’s version of Predator
with a homicidal robot named Omega-1 replacing that other alien
creature as the antagonist. It’s 80’s Mattei! You
know what you’re getting! There’s violence, action,
and laser beams! We just don’t think there is much else
that can be said! This is definitely must-see entertainment
for fans of Bruno Mattei, as well as for those who crave some
light entertainment they can have fun with. Also added as a
special bonus are the Japanese trailers for Killing Birds and
Nasty Hunter (Lady Terminator). This is the widescreen and uncut
version. English Language with Japanese subtitles.
ROME 2072 – THE NEW GLADIATORS
Also Known As
I GUERRIERI DELL’ANNO 2072
Directed by Lucio Fulci in 1984
Starring Jared Martin, Fred Williamson and Eleonora Brigliadori
Drake is a sports legend, the number one kill-bike competitor
in the world. A rival TV broadcasting company, envious of the
ratings he brings, frames him for the murder of his own wife.
He is then purchased and given the opportunity to fight for his
freedom in a high-tech gladiatorial battle against the most vicious
cutthroats the world has ever seen! Amazing movie from Lucio Fulci
that offers an intensely dark vision of a world obsessed with
violence. Lots of familiar faces (Al Yamanouchi, Donald O’Brien,
Al Cliver, Claudio Cassinelli, Cinzia Monreale and more!), some
surprising gore, and Riz Ortalani’s fantastic score all
help to create a futuristic Fulci classic! The influences here
are many, but this is pure Lucio! Many were frustrated by lesser
releases that offered only a faded picture presented fullscreen.
You can now enjoy this one properly with our uncut and widescreen
print! English language with Japanese subtitles.
RUSH
Also Known As
BLOOD RUSH
Directed by Tonino Ricci (As Anthony Richmond) in 1983
Starring Luigi Mezzanotte (As Conrad Nichols), Gordon Mitchell,
Laura Trotter, Rita Furlan and Daniele Stroppa
Rush is a loner in this action packed tale of rebellion and hope
for tomorrow. Long after the world has stopped growing wildlife,
our hero roams the countryside generally avoiding and occasionally
fighting barbaric rogues and a fascist military group wearing
gas masks! He's pretty good at taking care of himself until the
unstoppable and untouchable faction gets hold of him. Some being
robots, he still manages to take several out before being overpowered
and taken prisoner. It's here where the movie really kicks in
as he is imprisoned and forced to work at a labor plantation ran
by an evil thug named Yor played with some serious menace by Gordon
Mitchell! In between proving himself with the local prisoners
via knife fights, Rush finds time to attempt escapes, seduce the
local good girl, get tortured, plant some vegetables and lead
a rebellion to overthrow Yor! It's non-stop action for science
fiction fans with tons of motorcycle chases through caves, gunfights,
catfights, stunts and even more deadly mayhem! Many may recognize
the rousing score by Francesco De Masi with tunes lifted from
Escape From The Bronx! Italian screenwriter Tito (Jungle Holocaust)
Carpi wrote while Tonino Ricci directs this unusual and extremely
rare Post Nuke treasure. We are now proud to bring you Rush completely
uncut (domestic prints are cut and have altered credits) in English
with Japanese subtitles.
SANGUE DI SBIRRO
Also Known As
BLOOD AND BULLITS
POLICEMAN’S BLOOD
FOR A SILVER DOLLAR
KNELL THE BLOODY AVENGER
Directed by Alfonso Brescia in 1976
Starring George Eastman, Jenny Tamburi and Jack Palance
After many years away, Dan ‘Knell’ Caputo returns to
the town where he grew up to look into the details of his Father’s
death. The very moment he steps off of the plane his life is at
risk. With the support of Duke (Jack Palance), whose motivations
are much less pure than they appear, and the beautiful woman who
still loves him after all these years, he’ll have to climb
deep into the criminal underworld to discover the truth. The explosives
he uses, they help to! Eastman is impressive as Knell (like death-knell)
and this is your chance to see him in a rare, leading-man role.
Plenty of action, violent confrontation, and nudity ensure a great
time and our scarce print is uncut and widescreen. English Language
with Dutch subtitles.
SCREAM
Also Known As
THE OUTING
Directed by Byron Quisenberry in 1981
Starring Pepper Martin, Ethan Wayne, Woody Strode, Alvy Moore
A group of people on a rafting/camping getaway lay their heads down
to rest in an old ghost town. Just about the moment they do, they
begin to get picked off one by one by forces unseen. Dead bodies
shake with hints of life, carved figures bookend the proceedings
with metaphorical depth, and an unknown entity decapitates or otherwise
slices anybody it get can get close to! If that all sounds great,
well, we feel obligated to point out the following…. This
has been long considered by horror fans to be one of the worst movies
ever made! And though we wouldn’t quite go that far, we felt
it was important to point that fact out. It’s also one of
the big reasons we wanted to offer it! We’re pretty sick like
that. Yes, it’s a little slow, but it isn’t as bad as
a lot people want you to think it is. Some decent atmosphere, a
fun soundtrack, and Mr. Woody Strode riding into town at night like
death himself! Gorehounds need apply elsewhere, however. Check it
out and decide for yourself! Enjoy Scream in English with no subtitles.
THE SECRET OF THE INCAS EMPIRE
Also Known As
ALLA RICERCA DELL’IMPERO SEPOLTO
Directed by Gianfranco Parolini (credited as Frank Kramer) in 1987
Starring Conrad Nichols and Kelly London
This was a real surprise! It’s an adventure movie that is
inspired at least a little bit by Raiders of the Lost Ark and Romancing
the Stone, but it also has these truly strange tangents that keep
it from being a simple cash-in style project! Conrad Nichols stars
as a professor and Kelly London is his sexy and put-upon partner.
They head off into the jungles to find an ancient city that dates
back even further than any recorded Incan civilization. Also, the
founders of the pre-Incan empire may have been travelers from another
world! That explains the laser beam eyes on those statues! Insanity!
The best thing about all of this is that it’s a lot more fun
than it sounds! It has energy, it’s exciting, it’s ambitious,
and there are some impressive set pieces throughout! As an example,
it would make an excellent double feature with something like Jim
Wynorski’s 1983 The Lost Empire; it just has that kind of
spirit! The soundtrack was even provided by Walter Rizatti (credited
as Walt Ritz)! When you find yourself in the mood for something
a little different, take a look at our uncut and widescreen print
that’s in English with Japanese subtitles.
THE SECRET OF SEAGULL ISLAND
Also Known As
L'ISOLA DEL GABBIANO
SEAGULL ISLAND
Directed by Nestore Ungaro in 1980
Starring Prunella Ransome, Jeremy Brett, Nicky Henson, Pamela Salem
and Gabriele Tinti
Prunella Ransome stars as Barbara Carey in this Gothic style giallo.
Arriving in Italy to visit her blind sister who was enrolled in
a classical music academy, she discovers she has been missing for
three weeks. Unfortunately, a string of grisly murders have left
several blind girls dead with the remains being discovered at the
bottom of the ocean floor! With help from the local British Embassy
and the Italian police, Barbara must pose as a blind woman in order
to lure the killer to the surface! The clues lead her to Seagull
Island, only nobody knows she has gone there except those involved
in the murders! What follows is pure insanity; disfigurement, bird
attacks, underground lairs and murders abound! Will Barbara discover
who the real killer is? And will she find her sister alive or dead?
Only those that have seen this rare title know the answer to that
one! We are very proud to offer you the uncut theatrical print of
The Secret of Seagull Island in English with Greek subtitles.
SHADOW OF DEATH
Also Known As
THE EMPTINESS ALL AROUND
L’ASSASSINO FANTASMA
Directed by Xavier Seto in 1968
Starring Larry Ward and Teresa Gimpera
This is a very rare Italian/Spanish co-production. An unhappily
married woman plots against her epileptic husband with his twin
brother. They can’t be rid of him by means of murder; if they
kill him, they would lose all the money they will otherwise control
if the husband is instead driven mad and then locked away. They
go to unbelievable lengths to rip his mind apart and drive him insane
in an effort to be free of him! There is a blackmailer with nothing
left to lose who arrives on the scene to further complicate matters.
In true gialli style, nothing is as it seems and before it’s
all over death will come to call! An amazingly tense psychological
battle is played out with fantastic cinematography and stunning
use of color that further highlight the emotional turmoil of a man
no longer capable of recognizing his own reality! Franco Micalizzi
provides an uncharacteristic yet impressive score. Slightly widescreen
print in English with Dutch subtitles.
SHAPE UP
Also Known As
PULSACIONES
PULSEBEAT
Directed by Maurice Tobias in 1984
Starring Daniel Greene, Helga Line, Alicia Moro and Lee Taylor-Allan.
Upon first glance you may wonder why anybody, even an organization
as diverse as Digital Conquest, would carry a title dealing with
the 80's health craze. Take a second glance and you’ll notice
tons of beautiful European women (sporting tight leotards) in
various states of undress! This Spanish/USA Co-production stars
Alicia (The Exterminators Of The Year 3000) Moro, Lee (Alone In
The Dark) Taylor-Allan and the beautiful Helga (The Lorelei's
Grasp) Line! Now that's a cast! The plot has several comical moments
mixed together with soap opera dramatics and sexy steamy club
scenes as two health clubs compete with each other to the point
of sending in spies to sabotage each other! Along the way our
spa owner and all around good guy Daniel Greene falls in love
for the local hottie and his geeky accountant gets the exercise
of his life with Amazonian Helga! It all boils down to one night
of competition called The Aerobithon! Lots of bad 80's clothes
and hair styles and don't forget, real health nuts keep leg warmers
on during sex! Watch it as an erotic throwback to the 80's, a
bad comedy, or both, but either way enjoy our uncut print in English
with Japanese subtitles!
SHARK'S CAVE
Also Known As
CAVE OF THE SHARKS
BERMUDAS: LA CUEVA DE LOS TIBURONES
Directed by Tonino Ricci (As Anthony Richmond) in 1978
Starring Janet Agren, Andres Garcia and Arthur Kennedy
This is really wild. It’s an Italian/Spanish adventure/crime/supernatural/shark
movie with bloody violence and ambiguity to spare! Andres is found
alive after having disappeared six months before and presumed
dead. He has no recollection of where he has been or how he survived
all that time. Meanwhile, a plane has crashed off the coast (The
Bermuda Triangle!) and bad-guy extraordinaire Kennedy wants something
retrieved from the wreckage; Andres is whom he hires to do the
job. The plane is very near a cave of sharks that sit quietly
watching, like guardians, at the entrance to… ???? Things
become extremely complicated at this point and a cohesive synopsis
becomes challenging at best! There is some insane stuff happening
in this movie and you’ll even be treated to a little gory
carnage courtesy of those awesome underwater predators of the
title! The distractingly beautiful Cinzia Monreale does appear
(very briefly) in a scene that… Well, the whole thing is
just damn strange, that’s all! You’ll have to experience
this atmospheric movie for yourself to really appreciate it! Soundtrack
perfection is achieved thanks to the talents of Stelvio Cipriani!
A very unique and unexpected film presented to you in English
language with no subtitles.
SHATTERER
Also Known As
THE SICILIAN CONNECTION
Directed by Tonino Valerii in 1987
Starring Andrew J. Forest, Koji Kikkawa, Beatrice Ring and Tano
Cimarosa
This one was written by Tonino Valerii and Eernesto Gastaldi and
features cameos by Dalila Di Lazzaro and Toshiro Mifune (!!).
A Japanese auto production company opens up in Sicily and, for
numerous reasons, the Mafia becomes markedly displeased by this.
At first workers are attacked, some needing hospitalization, but
eventually lives are lost as the bosses push even harder to make
their intentions as obvious as possible. When all those attacks
fail, they kidnap one of the car company’s top executives
and, in a genuinely disturbing moment, slice his ear off to send
as a message. This warning will only be the beginning; if the
Japanese don’t clear out of Sicily within 72 hours the executive
will be sent back as a jigsaw puzzle! An American private detective
and a Japanese rally car driver (whose best friend and new wife
were blown up in their car moments after leaving the church where
the marriage had just taken place) are brought in by the insurance
company to try rescuing the hostage. The violence continues but
the criminals didn’t count on having to deal with the likes
of Victor and Koichi! Beautiful locations and a unique vibe are
among the highlights in this ambitious (and very rare) Italian/Japanese
gangster movie. Shatterer is filled with intrigue, fist fights,
car chases, a cool (and shockingly violent – F/X by Rosario
Prestopino) climax, and just enough exploitation/pulp thrown in
to make it stand out from the pack. Nearly impossible to see before
now, we offer Shatterer uncut, widescreen, and in English language
with Japanese subtitles.
SHOCKING DARK
Also Known As
ALIENATORS
TERMINATOR II
Directed by Bruno Mattei in 1989
Starring Haven Tyler and Christopher Ahrens
Only in Italy! It’s the future, and Venice has become a toxic
tomb. A specialized military unit is sent into the underground tunnels
of the city on a mission called Operation Delta Venice to find any
survivors. Any remaining people must be rescued and evacuated before
falling victim to the poisons in the air, or the vicious monsters
that now run rampant beneath the city. Most of the movie is a direct
steal of Aliens (and Terminator towards the end), so don’t
expect to see this getting a release anytime soon. Grab a cheese
sandwich and let yourself go! We offer this in an uncut and widescreen
print. English language with Japanese subtitles.
THE SICILIAN BOSS
Also Known As
DA CORLEONE A BROOKLYN
FROM CORLEON TO BROOKLYN
Directed by Umberto Lenzi in 1979
Starring Maurizio Merli, Mario Merola, Van Johnson, Venantino Venantini
and Laura Belli
Umberto Lenzi directs this incredible crime film with nonstop action
and his incredible talent for pessimistic cinema. Maurizio Merli
stars as Lieutenant Berni, who is in charge of transporting a mafia
criminal and key witness to New York in order to finger the Sicilian
Boss for murder and have him expedited back to Italy. It won't be
easy! Merli can't trust anyone as the local mob tries to beat him
to Rome and kill them both! One attack after another as they go
from claustrophobic car chases to snipers, to trains and even the
airport! And that's just the beginning! New York is even worse!
Some incredible twists, great characterization and even a sexy love
interest with the beautiful Laura Belli! This is what Italian Crime
Cinema is all about! Let's not forget the incredible jazzy score
by Franco Micalizzi! We are proud to present to you THE SICILIAN
BOSS uncut and in English language with Japanese subtitles.
THE SICILIAN CONNECTION
Directed by Damiano Damiani in 1984
Starring Mark Chase and Michele Placido
Mario has lived in America for many years, but now ‘the family’
needs him to return to Palermo so he can help settle some pressing
business, some very pressing business. Things are much more complicated
back home than Mario ever thought they would be and it’s due
in large part to his younger brother Michele. Still, there are things
that need to be done and, one way or another, these kinds of problems
always get handled. This is just about as good as an Italian crime
drama gets so fans of this style of movie who haven’t yet
seen it are doing themselves a tremendous injustice! Mesmerizing
from the first frames, The Sicilian Connection is nearly two full
hours of overwhelmingly powerful action, violence, and brutality!
A tragic morality play that is as gritty as it is passionate. Do
not miss this one! Uncut and in English language with Japanese subtitles.
SILENT ACTION
Also Known As
LA POLIZIA ACCUSA: IL SERVIZIO SEGRETO UCCIDE
Directed by Sergio Martino in 1975
Starring Luc Merenda, Mel Ferrer, Tomas Milian and Delia Boccardo
This is a mix of the crime and action genres that even manages to
work a little gialli flavor into the formula. A number of important
people have been turning up dead (one of the early murders is a
splashy decapitation on a railway) and Luc Merenda is the investigator
in charge of finding out why. The more he digs the more frightening
the truth becomes, but knowledge sometimes comes with a very high
price. Massive action scenes highlight this slightly paranoid and
cynical story about political terrorism and a seemingly unstoppable
phantom organization. And what a climax! It’s a very rare
film and the print we offer is both widescreen and uncut! English
language with Dutch subtitles.
SLIPSTREAM
Directed by Steven Lisberger in 1989
Starring Bob Peck, Bill Paxton, Mark Hamill and Kitty Aldridge
This is an unusual and strikingly unique science-fiction/adventure
movie that’s also shockingly difficult to see in its original
version. Many years in the future, long after the convergence (a
time when nature sought vindication against mankind), an android
named Byron attempts to make his way to a robotic Shangri-la, a
place where he can exist among his own kind in peace. He is wanted
for murder and the two trackers that are hunting him down will stop
at nothing to find Byron and bring him in. Paxton is a scavenger
who steals the android in hopes of claiming a huge reward. The trouble
is that this lonely drifter and this fabricated man form a friendship
that neither fully understands; it’ll bring them both more
humanity than either thought possible. Excellent cinematography
and Blade Runner-esque themes are throughout. You’ll also
find cameo appearances from Robbie Coltrane, Ben Kingsley and F.
Murray Abraham, among others. Although released often and with lots
of different listed running times (inaccurate and always fullscreen
besides) this movie has never been treated fairly. Now you can enjoy
it as intended at last! Completely uncut with all the missing minutes
and in the widescreen format! This rare and satisfying print is
in English language with Japanese subtitles.
SOLDIER OF FORTUNE
Also Known As
SOLDATO DI VENTURA
Directed by Pierluigi Ciriaci in 1989
Starring Daniel Greene, Bo Svenson and Savina Gersak
Greene is a mercenary who survives by taking dirty jobs around the
world. When something involving a body count needs to get done he’s
the man to go to. Trained by the military and known as a top-notch
Green Beret, he’s definitely able to put a hurtin’ on
anybody you like… for a price! This man has a lot of problems;
he has no memory of his last mission, just flashes of a beautiful
woman… and death. All that, whatever it was, took place in
some remote location in Afghanistan. Now, whether he likes it or
not, he’ll be returning there. The assignment is to escort
a scientist to the crash site of a Russian MIG, one that the Russians
themselves can not seem to locate. Lots of firefights and intense
action of the kind you’d expect from an Italian action movie
made in the late 80’s, but there is a twist! I won’t
give away too much here… Suffice it to say that about two-thirds
of the way through the running time Soldier of Fortune turns into
a fantasy-action-science-fiction-adventure movie! Enjoy this very
rare movie totally uncut and in English language with Japanese subtitles.
SO SWEET, SO DEAD
Also Known As
RIVELAZIONI DI UN MANIACO SESSUALE AL CAPO DELLA SQUADRA MOBILE
REVELATIONS OF A SEX MANIAC TO THE HEAD OF THE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION
DIVISION
THE SLASHER
Directed by Roberto Montero in 1972
Starring Farley Granger, Sylva Koscina, Krista Nell, Femi Benussi,
Luciano Rossi, Nieves Navarro (credited as Susan Scott), Christea
Avram (credited as Chris Avram), Silvano Tranquilli and Annabella
Incontrera
As amazing a cast as that is it’s important
to point out that there are even more recognizable faces throughout.
More than we had room to list! Some consider this the ultimate giallo;
the pinnacle of the genre that achieves its perfection with calculated
finesse and effortless perfection beyond a fault. Others consider
it reprehensible; cynical trash that’s nihilistic and cruel
with no redeeming values whatsoever. Around here we tend to lean
decidedly toward the former rather than the latter. A murderer has
taken up the position of moral redeemer and begins to violently
murder the unfaithful wives of the local jet set leaving behind
only bloody bodies and photographs of the victims caught in the
throes of adulterous passion. Inspector Capuana is the man in charge
of the investigation. As the murders continue and the frustration
of not being able to ‘step on too many toes’ builds
inside, Capuana finds himself obsessed with the details of the case.
There is relentless tension and no lack of suspenseful thrills all
designed to drive you effortlessly towards the absolutely fantastic
climax that’s awash in powerful and shocking revelation. So
Sweet, So Dead is, as far as we’re concerned, best thought
of as must-see viewing for gialli fans! An exceptional movie showcasing
everything that is great about the giallo. The shadow-like stranger
clinging to the darkness until it’s time to strike, the flashing
of the blade, the impressive and stylish murders, the frequent nudity,
the dreamlike and hypnotic soundtrack (courtesy of Giorgio Gaslini),
the abundant atmosphere, the serpentine turns of the final moments
… and on and on and on! We can think of not a single negative
thing to say about this classic! So Sweet, So Dead comes with our
highest of recommendations and you can now enjoy this rarity uncut
(most other prints are very cut), letterboxed (some prints are only
slightly widescreen), and in English language with Japanese subtitles.
SPECTERS
Also Known As
SPETTRI
Directed by Marcello Avallone in 1987
Starring ohn Pepper, Trine Michelsen, Donald Pleasence, Massimo
De Rossi, Riccardo De Torrebruna and Lavinia Grizi
While a team of archeologists lead by Donald
Pleasence are digging through some ancient ruins the subway being
built above causes some cave ins and new catacombs are found. This
leads to the burial ground of a legendary demon who then rises to
the occasion and starts dispatching his victims in gruesome ways.
Tons of atmosphere, nudity and gore are the highlights of this Italian
gem, which boast some great effects. Heads get smashed, throats
cut, hearts yanked out and so on all supplied by Sergio Stivaletti
(Cemetery Man, Miami Golem)! Will Donald Pleasence find the true
secret behind the evil or become one of the next victims. And lets
not forget the blind historian/curator who may know more than he
lets on! Forget all those other prints, we offer ours uncut and
properly widescreen! In English with Japanese subtitles.
